The college was started on the eve of Indian Independence on August 11th 1947. The College was founded by Kerala Varma, the Maharaja of erstwhile Kochi State. Its first affiliation was as a college in Madras University. Now the college is affiliated to the Calicut University. At present the college has two N.C.C. Units. The college has grown and expanded considerably on a secure basis as a full fledged first grade instituition providing instructions in almost all the courses of study and occupying the pride of place as the biggest College under the Calicut University. |
