The college was founded on July 15,1967, in response to an increasing demand for higher education in Cochin. The college is sponsored by the Cochin Education Society which was founded as a result of the joint efforts of the Indian Chamber of Commerce and the former Mattancherry Municipal Council. This college is
affiliated to the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. The college was accredited with B+ (equivalent to five star) in January 2004. |
